Vidyarambh Muhurat is one of the auspicious pujas when a child is about to join the school; it is a prayer offered with yogi and students to Lakshmi ji and Ganesh ji, it increases the child's concentration level, and it also brings peace and luck to the child. Pandit advised it to do this at least once a year to feel a connection with god, vidya, as the term signifies knowledge. We all know that knowledge is the only power that can help us rule in the field we want to. So whenever we seek knowledge or start something new, it is compulsory to make our beginning with spirituality to mark the journey with positivity.
This sanskar is performed at 3 to 4 years of age to introduce the child to the world of knowledge. The father helps his child by holding his hand in putting whole wheat or rice on the deity to exchange positive energies, and then; the mantra is written on the rice with the former hand. This pooja has a lot of significance which will protect a child from all the negative vibrations coming their way and let the child study peacefully. The vijaydashmi is considered an auspicious day and the day of learning. This starts with preaching to the goddess of knowledge (Saraswati) and rewarding the guru by Guru Dakshina. It also comprises a beetle and some token of money.
Knowledge is the only way to lead us to the destination we dream of acquiring; this sanskar helps strengthen academic skills. Parents are fond of this prayer, and we make them aware of our rituals. This instils the child's spirituality and helps build skills for a career. Real knowledge is the one which can help make one intellect strong and concise.
After preparations, one should offer humble prayers to Lord Ganesha and Goddess Saraswati. Let your initial prayers be to Lord Ganesha, and then pay homage to Goddess Saraswati.
